Proud to have served. Only three years, three months nuclear duties, but buddy, that was plenty. Carswell AFB, 1984 - 1988. ALCM, SRAM B28, B61 and the largest alert commitment (in sheer number of alert birds AND quantity of weapons) in SAC. "If I'm lyin, I'm buyin." So if AMMO was all that busy, I dare say the 463's were being worked to death. To all "nuke pukes": Thank you for your service! You performed a thankless, dangerous job no one in the world but you could do. Many of you have since paid the ultimate price for your dedication. The Cold War was won because of you. May The Good Lord continue to bless you all.
