Mark Allen James, 56, of Cheyenne died May 27 in Cheyenne. He was born on July 15, 1950, in Goodland, Kan. He had lived in Cheyenne for the past 14 years with prior residence in Germany.
Mr. James served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years before retiring with the rank of staff sergeant. He served during Vietnam and Desert Storm. After retiring from the Air Force, he was employed at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and the NCO Club on F.E. Warren Air Force Base.
Survivors include his wife, Carol James, whom he married in North Glenn, Colo., on Aug. 5, 1972; one son, James Fisher of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Tammy James of Cheyenne, Cindy Fitzgerald of Cheyenne, Jamie Hunt of Casper, and Shyann James of Cheyenne; 11 grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Carol Potter of Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. James was preceded in death by his parents, Mark D. and Clarice Elizabeth James.
