Donald L. Anderson, 68, of Bristol, Wis., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie.
Born June 28, 1941, in Kenosha, he was the son of Walter and Eileen (Gumbel) Anderson. A lifelong resident of Kenosha and graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School, he also attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
On June 18, 1963, he entered the United States Air Force serving until his honorable discharge on June 16, 1967. Donald was trained as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist and Missile Mechanic.
For 27 years he was a field engineer for IBM, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Southport Gun Club, local HOG group, the N.R.A. and he was an avid hunter. Don enjoyed riding his Harely and loved truck driving.
Surviving are a son, David (Elizabeth) Anderson of The Colony, Texas; two daughters, Dianne (David) Burd of Eagan, Minn., and Laura (Michael) Eckert of Lakeville, Minn.; his father, Walter Anderson of Necedah, Wis.; two sisters, Kay (Gene) Schwarze of Eagle River, Wis., and Joy (William) Vancaster of Mauston, Wis.; and his seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Anderson.
