John S. Bazar, U.S. Air Force (ret.), age 83, of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2005. He spent his youth in the Civilian Conservation Corp. Was awarded a Medal of Commendation during WWII. He worked at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Sandia Corp. and A.E.C. An avid stamp collector he never found the rare elusive upsidedown Aeroplane.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine; daughter, Jane Lingenfelter; sons, John Bazar, Frank (Angie), James (Kathryn), William (Tanya); grandchildren, Samantha Bazar, Scott Lingenfelter, Chris Bazar and Michelle (Ben) Noyce, Krista, Bazar; great-granddaughter, Isebella Noyce; one stepson, two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Zeller of Toledo. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Bazar; sisters, Betty Jane Bazar and Alice Mae Bridge.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico with Military Honors.
