Matt Kronz, 82, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Kronz was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Elk City, Okla. A member of the Catholic church, he served in the United States Marines during World War II and later retired after 22 years with the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era.

Mr. Kronz was a member of the VFW and AMVETS Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

On Nov. 23, 1944, he married Juanita Ramsey in Okla. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Laney and Denise Kronz, both of Poplar Bluff; a son, Mathew Kronz, of Campbell; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
