Robert E. Wolfe, 77, left this life for his new home in Heaven early Monday morning, December 19, 2011.

Robert was born in Crisp, Texas, on October 2, 1934 to Robert Hirschel and Mildred (Clark) Wolfe. He grew up in Crisp and graduated from Ennis High School in 1954. He married Margie Von Culpepper on November 29, 1963. They originally lived in Dallas for a short time and then moved to Ennis. He joined the United States Air Force where he served his country proudly. He was a Staff Sergeant with the Tactical Depot Squadron. His squadron was hand picked to transport the Atom bomb with his family only finding out recently that he had been involved with such a top secret mission.

He worked for Ennis Business Forms until his retirement in 1997 after thirty-four years of service. He was a beloved member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing and he demanded a clean yard and patio.

He is survived by his loving wife of over forty-eight years, Margie Wolfe; two sons: Kelly Wolfe and his wife, Laura, and Jason Wolfe, and his wife, Talisha; four grandchildren: Sara, Jack, Andee and Sam Wolfe; two brothers: David Leonard Wolfe and his wife, Barbara and Larry Leon Wolfe and his wife, Sharon; one sister, Mamie Louise and her husband, Billy Harp; brother-in-law, James Webster; numerous nieces and nephews along with a multitude of friends and church family. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bettie Webster, brother, James Melvin Wolfe and his wife, Barbara and one infant sister, Frankie Wolfe.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Jerry Fulton and Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Wolfe, Kevin Culpepper, Erik Culpepper, William Woodard, Jack Wolfe and Robbie Flynt. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Barak, Robert Flynt and Cody Culpepper. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
