Retired Air Force MSGT Robert T. Riley, Sr. "R.T.", born in Weymouth, MA, on March 20, 1947, passed peacefully on Friday, November 27, in Los Lunas, NM at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Viola Riley and his faithful companion, Brady.
R.T. graduated high school in North Weymouth, MA. He then joined the Air Force where he proudly served 20 years as a Weapons Specialist, earning the AF Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, AF Good Conduct with five Oak Leaf Clusters, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, AF Longevity Service Ribbon with four Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal and AF Outstanding Unit Awards. After he retired he worked for Boeing Co. for 22 years.
R.T. was preceded in death by his son, Robert T. Riley, Jr., Wichita, KS; parents, Frank and Mary Riley Weymouth, MA; and parents-in-law, Bernardo and Isabel Herrera, Albuquerque, NM.
He is survived by his son, Stephen K. Riley and wife, Jaimie, Denver, CO; daughter, Deanna M. Lorentino and husband, James Wichita, KS; sisters, Ann Thompson and Patricia Coronella, MA; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews; sisters and brothers-in-law. R.T. was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
