Gregory Alan Williams, age 48, a resident of Hoquiam, died on Friday, August 3, 2007 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Mr. Williams was born on October 30, 1958, in Blytheville, Arkansas to J.C. and Ethel Earline (Mathenia) Williams. He was raised in Steele, Missouri and graduated from South Pemiscot High School in 1976.

Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until retiring in 1996, at the rank of Master Sergeant.

On August 21, 1977, he and Michelle Mason were married in Goldsboro, North Carolina. After Greg’s retirement, the couple located in Littlerock, Arkansas and in 1999, moved to Hoquiam. During the past 2½ years, he had driven school bus for the Aberdeen School District.

Relatives include his wife Chelley; two daughters Megan and Amanda, all of the family home in Hoquiam; a brother Jerry Williams of Steele, Missouri and a sister Lisa Graham of New Madrid, Missouri. A brother Terry Williams died previously.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam. An urn committal with military honors will follow at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.
