Wayne “Denver Dave” Keeton, 68, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

A private family interment at Fort Sill National Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Dave grew up in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee and could keep you rolling with the stories of his antics and tribulations of childhood there. Dave was a Vietnam veteran and was retired from the United States Air Force. He moved to Wichita Falls from Denver, Colorado, hence the nickname. He loved fishing, being a walking encyclopedia, and making people laugh. He loved the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Volunteers.

Dave never met a stranger, and could make anyone laugh. His favorite hangouts were the great outdoors for a walkabout and the Missile for a game of pool and a few laughs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eunice Keeton; and a brother, Jimmy Keeton.

He is survived by daughters Melissa Keeton McGregor and Rebecca Keeton of Colorado; step daughter Senny Orona of Mansfield; and sisters Brenda Keeton Mertz, and Jean Stuart.
Dave will be greatly missed by many. He lived his life on his own terms, with simplicity, compassion, and a very big heart. “Take off, hoser”. Ti amero per sempre.
