James (Jim) C. Oskins, 83, of Parker, CO, passed away with family at his side on March 19, 2020.
Jim was born on February 20, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to Cletis and Pearl (Garland) Oskins. Jim retired as a Tech Sargeant after serving 20 years in the United States Air Force. Jim also was an author and enjoyed writing books, building trains, woodcrafts and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his wife Beverly Oskins of Parker,CO, his daughters Michelle Garcia of Parker, CO, Becky (Karen) Kirchberg of Evans, CO and Debra Connors of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren Valerie (Lamar) Tatum of Aurora, CO, Brandi (Steve) Barela of Littleton, CO, Dupre (Brittany) Albright and Amare Garlington of Parker,CO. Jim is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Dorian Jones, Davier Whitlow, Adalynn Tatum, Marvin Alas, Jr., Arianna Albright and Dupre Albright II. He is preceded in death by his parents Cletis and Pearl Oskins, his first wife Minerva Oskins and daughter Teresa Oskins.
Jim married Beverly Gonzales on August 6, 1987 in Albuquerque, NM.
A celebration of life and final resting place with full military honors will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
