Laura Jane Roggenbuck, 66 years old, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on April 29th, 2023. Laura was born December 2, 1956 in Whittier, California to Leslie and Sharron Parmer. She grew up in Kalispell, Montana where she attended Flathead High School before joining the Air Force in 1975.
In the Air Force she was a Medical Service Specialist where she served a tour in the Philippines before returning back to the states and cross trained to become a Weapons Specialist. She was stationed at F.E. Warren A.F.B. in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she met the love of her life and husband of 39 years, Milton “Jay”Roggenbuck.
While stationed at F.E. Warren, she gave birth to two sons. She was deployed to Ghedi A.F.B. Italy where she received numerous medals and honors before being stationed at Dyess A.F.B. in Abilene, Texas. She cross trained once again to Medical Administration working in the hospital where she made the rank of Master Sergeant. She then did a short tour in Saudi Arabia before retiring in 1999. Laura was not one to stay idle and immediately went back to work at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas where she again served another 22 years before retiring a second time.
Laura was a dedicated and loving mother who always put family first. Though she was stern when she had to be, she always had a loving and caring side who wanted the best for everyone. She could walk into a room and instantly make it brighter with her smile or her compassion and love for people. She will be missed deeply by those whose lives she's touched in both her career and personal life.
