It looks like I will have to continue conecting you guys together. I had hoped you would be able to do that through the NWTA. For the time being I will be available. You might also try Walt Sudol.

I turned the bulk of my data over to Walt some time ago but kept much more. To contact me at IBRAMSEY@AOL.COM or 209-723-5378.

Glad to help.

Not exactly sure what you mean Jack. We're going strong here at the NWTA. People joining all the time, renewing on a regular basis.

Walt's getting the certificates out. Please explain.

Also, please do not put people's email addresses out for all to see, unless you've gotten an OK to do so. We try to keep people's emails from being available to the public for their own privacy and to keep them from being SPAMMED.

I am still available to assist nuke guys find each other as I have done for so many years. I get one or two requests a week. EMAIL addresses are not considered privacy information and I think that may be part of the problem. In the past Email addresses were uncensored for everyone and readily available. We did have some members that requested home and telephone # be left off and we did so untill you printed them, but at least they were only availble to the members. Now even that has been censored out. Everyone that contacts you leaves an Email address and it is censored from the communication before publication.

I am happy the organization is doing so well and look forward to TN.

By the way, you might have Walt look at Robert Sandoval's membership.
This is the third time he has joined. He lets his membership lapse and instead of bringing it up to date just rejoins Guess nothing really against that.

On the contrary. Email information is private information and members can access that when they sign in. Its only on the open board that such infomation is not shared.

Evidently you have no idea what a spybot can do to search and gather names and emails. I do, therefore members who wish to see email addresses need to log in to view that list.

I've not had any issues with people having that sort of problem addressed to me, and if you would direct them to the webmaster it would be appreciated.

As far as Mr. Sandoval, yes he lets his membership lapse for longer than a year, which technically means that he has to rejoin. However, now with the automatic notifications going out 30 days prior to expiration, this happens much less frequently.

Will be glad to see you at the Convention/Reunion in Knoxville/Oak Ridge, don't forget to log in and register to get the discount.

Up to about two years ago I was getting e-mails from Jack regarding Nuclear Weapons Techs making inquiries about the association or trying to locate other Weapons Techs. I believe that stopped before the last Albuquerque reunion. Since I've been in office I've received dozens of e-mails and phone calls from old Weapons Techs who have seen our postings in the American Legion, VFW, or Air Force magazines and on the NWTA website. If they ask about contacting members whose names they recognize on the membership roster I ask for their contact information and forward it to the member they are trying to contact. I've done this with 8 or 10 inquiries over the past two years and have not had any complaints, they understood why we do not post contact information and why I would not give out member's information. I have also received numerous e-mails and phone calls from people and companies wanting to sell me something.

Last year there was a story on the Air Force TogetherWeServed.com website about a retired 33190 SMSgt. I asked AFTWS for contact information so I could forward NWTA information to him. They declined the request for "privacy concerns" but took my e-mail address and phone number and forwarded it to the retired SMSgt. He e-mailed me within a week. We are not the only organization protecting members privacy. I understand that some members may not care if their e-mail address is available to the public but should we not err on the side of protecting member's privacy.

Bob
