New to the Association was created by Dickens
My name is Jim Ochwat and I served in the USAF from 1966 - 1970 as a 463. My first permanent duty assignment was with the 3096th Aviation Depot Squadron at Travis AFB supporting the SAC 5th Bomb Wing. During my tour at Travis, my team was tasked with learning & training the teams responsible for the W49 as part of Program 437. That program took us to Sandia Corp. & LASL for initial training and then to Johnston Island & Vandenburg AFB. In 1968, I was reassigned to Field Command DASA at Manzano Base, New Mexico and finished my tour there.

I would enjoy hearing from any of you with whom I was stationed. I know that at least one person, Stan Kinney, is a member here.

Walter,

I joined as an annual member hoping to find some of the guys that I was stationed with. So far I have found Stan Kinney, Ron Radliff, and Bob Scheehl. I also recognize the name Robert Smiley but I'm not sure if he was the same person that I was stationed with.

Sorry I missed you during your stint in Program 437. In '63 I was at v'berg first with the 6595th test Sq during the early days of 437, then it became the 10ADS. I particpated in the early testing of the system. But when the AFSC changed to 463 I requested for retraining in 1966 and left the program. I'm a lifer with 26 years service.
